How To Care For Your DTG Printed Tees

Here at Dolkii, we use TWO types of printing techniques to give our graphic tees a certain look and feel.

ONE: The tried and true technique we mainly use is called screen printing. This technique is a popular printing method, using a process that presses ink through a mesh screen in order to create a printed design on garments. Majority of our tees are finished using screen printing, however we do use another technique for our graphics that have more than 3 colors in the design.

TWO: Our second technique is known as DTG - Direct to Garment. DTG uses inkjet technology to print high-quality, complex, and multi-colored graphics directly onto garments, giving our graphic tee a super soft, lived-in look our customers know and love. 

Last year, we made HUGE girlboss moves and decided to invest in our own DTG equipment. This allowed us to not only control the quality of every tee being printed, but it also allowed us to evolve into a zero-waste, made-to-order business for a number of our styles! So, if you purchase one of our DTG tees, just know that the very tee being delivered to your was printed with love by us, all in-house.

Since moving our printing in-house, we've learned SO much about the DTG process, from how to print on our garments, to how to care for our garments after each wear... and we've learned A LOT! So much so that we'd love to share with you some bet practices. To ensure you enjoy and love your beloved Dolkii tees for years to come, here's how we recommend you care for your DTG tees.  

WASHING:

Be sure to turn your tees inside out. Set washer water temperature to cold and wash with like colors. Use liquid laundry detergent and set washer on gentle cycle.

DRYING:

For best drying results, we recommend to tumble dry on low or air dry will provide the most longevity to your garment. Avoid air drying in direct sunlight to prevent fading. Pro tip: instead of using dryer sheets, try using dryer balls to help with reducing static, wrinkles, dry time, and helps softens fabrics. IRONING:

If ironing is necessary, iron the garment inside out on the lowest setting. PLEASE AVOID using bleach, fabric softener, and dry cleaning garment.
