joshua tree's little bohemian airbnb getaway
I find that a quick three day trip away from LA is so necessary for clearing my mind and recharging my creativity.. besides, traveling to new places is always good for the soul. No place makes more sense for the perfect getaway than Joshua Tree.
JP and I drove 2.5 hours in his rebuilt Isuzu Trooper, aka The Troopie from West LA to the desert where we met up with some of his friends for a small film project. Our first night was spent about 20 minutes in from the south entrance of Joshua Tree National Park at Jumbo Rocks Camp Ground [campsite 79]. How mother nature managed to create such a gorgeous place I will never understand.
Our second night was spent at what I can only describe as #homegoals. This quaint little AirBnB is secretly tucked away in Yucca Valley, right at the base of Joshua Tree's windy roads. Don't be discourage when you take a look at this place from the outside, as driving by it looks like nothing more than an ordinary little house in this quiet town. Front entrance lined with just the right amount of succulents, is only the beginning of many understated furnishings around the property.
All around the house you discover everything from small painted figurines, handmade lighting, and one of a kind furniture pieces to make you feel right at home.
